Dear Moon and Mel: Schoolwork and Activities to Do During No-School COVID-19. (Blog 2)

   Dear Moon and Mel,
I am so glad to hear from you! Today, I have some schoolwork and activities for you to do during this no-school COVID-19 period. Everyone else, keep in mind my inspiration for this blog is only a fifth grader. This blog is directed to children that age. And please, keep the comments coming!
Yesterday - This blog starts the day before. In order to have a healthy "school day", you need to go to sleep at good time.
20 min. - Wake up at a productive time and have a healthy breakfast!
5 min. - Take a moment to get organized and plan out your day.
20 min. - Math... The worst subject, let's do it first. Below, I have included some worksheets. Once you are finished, take a few minutes to ask a parent/guardian to teach you 2 new math skills.

30 min. - Reading and Spelling... Read something nonfiction for 10 min. Write a short summary. (Use good grammar and writing skills!) Read something fiction for 10 min. Write a short summary. (Use good grammar and writing skills!) Learn 5 new vocab words and their definitions. Lastly, learn how to spell 10 new words. There is lots to do for this subject, but I am confident you can do it!
20 min. - Science... For this class, we will do a short project. Go outside, and write down all the living and non-living things you can see. Then, think about how they are important to the ecosystem. Ask yourself questions: What would happen if we removed one living or non-living thing from the ecosystem? How does the weather have an affect on the ecosystem? Etc. Do this again the next day, what has changed?
20 min. - Social Studies... Pick one event in history that interests you and make a slideshow about it. Include the following: When it happened, why it happened, how it happened, and who was affected when it happened?
20 min. - Physical Education... Go outside! Enjoy yourself, leave any electronic devices inside. Be creative and have fun.
15 min. - Art... Take a moment to sit down, relax, and paint something you like.
20 min. - Health... Take a moment to relax, enjoy yourself. Do something you enjoy and take care!
I know that these activities don't take up a whole day, but it is a start. Learning can be very difficult during this time, and I understand. Look on the bright side, you have so much more time to get things done that you need to get done! Thank you so much for commenting, I hope this was helpful to you. Let me know if you need anything else!
Don't forget, your teacher is always there for recommendations.
"Be the Change You Wish to See in the World."
     Sincerely, Me.
